Hello friends. Here I am with another ride experience. This is Day 2,3 of my Solo India Nepal Bhutan Ride. After walking almost all day and exploring 3 Forts and Jal Mahal in just one day, I was very tired and as per my habit of sleeping late I slept at 12.30 AM in the night. I took almost 7 hours sleep so that my body is well rested for today's ride. I started for Udaipur at 10 am in the morning and reached there by 6 PM.
As I will be riding solo during the whole trip, Its important to be safe and riding within speed limits for safety reasons. After reaching Udaipur It took me almost 1 hour to get to the hostel as the location was a bit hard to find. I checked in immediately, took a shower and left to explore Udaipur. First place I visited was the Gangaur Ghat. It is a beautiful Ghat besides Lake Pichola of Udaipur. The Ghat was all decorated as there was some festival going on. I was mesmerized by the atmosphere and aura of that place. Me and my buddy Rishi just sat on the stairs of Ghat for almost 1 hour and chatted and enjoyed the cool breeze and peacefulness of the place. After that we went to the market to buy some small stuff.
We had dinner at our Hostel - Whereabout. The hostel was good with almost all the facilities and cleanliness.
Next day we went to see the Jagdish Temple as it was nearest to our Hostel beside Gangaur Ghat. The Temple as extremely beautiful and is a symbol of our Culture and rich heritage. It was built around 16th Centuary. The temple belongs to God Jagannath.
After that we visited to City Palace, Monsoon Palace - Sajjangarh Fort and in the evening Fateh Sagar Lake to just chill and relax after the hectic day.
Mr Bhanwar Singh Ji was our Guide at City Palace. He was very knowlegeable and told all the stories in detail. You can also contact him - 9772905128. The rates for guides are fixed by the Government so nothing I can do about the charges but I can assure that he will show you the palace giving you all the details.
