PRODUCT COMPARISONS:
Grim Grease Cream Pomade: Both products are high-holding, high-endurance cream pomade products. Grim Grease, however, is easier to apply, has a bit less sheen, is a slicker product than Phantasm, but does not yield as much volume as Phantasm does.
Grim Grease Matte Cream: Though Phantasm has more in common with Grim Grease's Cream Pomade than the Matte Cream, there is some similarity in the versatility and preference for texture as well as the hold. The Matte Cream is easier to apply, though, and does not endure quite as well. Both products have similar initial hold and volumizing capabilities, but I prefer the texture and finish of the Matte Cream.
Flagship Matte Paste (2019 Reformulation): Both products have a somewhat sticky, waxy feeling in the hair and level of hold. Phantasm has more durability, but is not as present in the hair. I also prefer the finish and texture of Flagship. Review for this new Matte Paste formula coming soon.
