Susan had this to say about it:
These little deer are something else. They are like a little family, and when a new one comes all their fears leave them and it’s like they have always been there. They spend most of the day sleeping in the big crate. They get up to drink their bottles, go to the bathroom, eat a little, nibble on some greens, jump around for a few minutes, and back to the crate.
I was just feeding them when the new one arrived. They welcomed her with open arms. So now there are five. So it’s time to break out another big carrier because they are not all going to fit in one. Before I could get the other crate ready all five of them were laying down in the one crate.
The new fawn was just with her mother. She just got hit by a car. She just went through a traumatic experience. But now she is calm and happy with her new little family.
