Anastasia wants to tell you the story of how she did not communicate with her mom for 3 years.
She was born when mom and dad were very young and were not ready to have a baby. For two years her mom and dad tried to live like a normal family, but they eventually realized that it wasn’t working. She was even taken away by the child protection authorities one time for a short period.
During the divorce, her mother received sole custody over her and raised her for 7 years all by herself. She was an energetic woman and also a famous fashion model. Actually happened, Anastasia’s childhood was not the same as that of an ordinary kid.
First, het mother looked very beautiful and stylish.
Second, no matter how hard her mother tried to spend more time with Anastasia, she simply had a very tight schedule. Sometimes Anastasia refused to do her homework to try to get her attention. Her mother even took her to her photo shoots, when she couldn’t find a baby sitter. Once her mom was supposed to appear in a commercial with a little girl model. But at the last moment it turned out that the girl couldn’t come, so instead Anastasia was included in the commercial! And she took her to parties after the photo shoots. One day her friend got so drunk that they were all kicked out of a bar. This was what her mother was like.
When Anastasia was 9, her mother met a man who had 2 daughters about her age. The girls lived with their mother, so she rarely saw them. Soon her mother found out she was going to have another baby, and she and this man decided to get married. Now they lived together: Anastasia, her mother, her new stepfather, and her newborn half-sister.
Soon Anastasia realized that her relationship with mom was changing. They became more and more distant from each other. They argued all the time and she even slapped her.
Actually happened Anastasia decided that she'd had enough. She begged her mother to send her to father. After all, she also has a biological father!
Finally she let her go live with her dad. Dad was not as rich as Mom, but she was happy.
Three years passed. Anastasia graduated from high school, met her love, and went to college. But after all this she realized that her dad was unreliable and just couldn’t live with another person. Now it was clear why her mother took custody of her when they divorced.
Dad was not very successful in his career. He could not keep a permanent job and didn’t trust anyone. This was because of his mother. She instilled in him that the whole world, and especially the government, was out to get him. And therefore, of course, he tried to protect his daughter from all of these probable and improbable dangers. He did not let her spend time with friends. She was not allowed to get a driver's license or even allowed to go out alone to the store across the street. He constantly suspected something. It was difficult for dad to accept affection and caring.
All dad’s rules only motivated her to quickly become independent and find a job. Working there is allowed by law from the age of 16. So, her first working day was literally 3 days after my 16th birthday. Do you think Dad praised and supported her in her job? No! He only became more and more difficult. When she missed her first day of college because her dad hadn’t bothered to fix the car on time, that was the last straw. So, she called her mom.
Over the three years she was with my dad, she didn’t hear a word from her mom. She expected that when she got her on the phone there would be a lot of crying and screaming at each other. But as soon as mom heard her voice, she apologized for the way she treated her. Mom explained that she never got along very well with her own mother and also had Anastasia when she was only a child. They were talking, reminiscing, and suddenly Anastasia realized that it was not too late to fix things between them. So, now she’s moving back in with her and transferring to a College closer to her home.
Of course, she eventually forgave her dad, when she learned he was not really to blame for how he lives. But now she doesn't hang out with him much. Her feelings for him are so complicated! If he can get his life together, then maybe she wouldn't mind seeing him again.
Each person needs to understand that family is very important because, without it, you will be completely alone.
