SPI SRAM Controller XB: An illustration of how to use standalone Xcelerator Blocks.

Tight integration between custom Xcelerator Blocks (XBs) and the on-board AVR microcontroller is a key feature that enhances the performance of our FPGA-powered boards and modules.

But for some functionality, it's better to avoid using the micro altogether. Standalone XBs are just as easy to implement in our OpenXLR8 flow as XBs that work with the microcontroller.

Using our new SPI SRAM Controller XB as a simple illustration, this video discusses the variety of ways to integrate XBs and shows how the SPI SRAM Controller XB is specifically configured.
