Beetroot Hummus - EASYFOODWITHDG Ingredients
Chickpeas - 1 Cup Boiled
Beetroot - 1 medium (cooked either boiled or roasted)
Sesame Seeds - 2-3 TBSP
Garlic - 2-3 cloves
Lime - Juice of 1/2 lime
Cumin Powder - 1.5 TSP
Salt to taste
Olive Oil
Paprika Chilli Powder - 1.5 TSP
Pepper to taste
Greek Yogurt - 1.5 TSP
Method
- Add all the chickpeas into the grinder
- Add cooked Beetroot (wither boiled or baked)
- Add Sesame seeds
- Next add Cumin Powder
- Add 2 to 3 cloves of roughly chopped Garlic
- Add Pepper & Paprika Powder
- Add generous amounts of Olive Oil
- Add Salt to taste
- Lastly add some Greek Yogurt
- Cover it and blitz until smooth
- Check to see if we need to add more Olive Oil, at this point also add juice of 1/2 a lime
- Blitz it to the consistence you are looking for.
Serve with Lavash and ENJOY !
