70 educators, academics & activists, representing more 33 different country identities and affiliations, gathered at the 2019 International Institute on Peace Education (IIPE) in Nicosia, Cyprus from July 21-28, 2019. IIPE 2019 explored the theme of "Educating for a Culture of Peace in Divided Societies: History, Dialogue, and Multiperspectivity Toward Reconciliation."
Under the aegis of the President of the European Parliament, the IIPE 2019 was coordinated by the IIPE Secretariat and the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR), and funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, with the support of the Office of the European Parliament in Cyprus.
