Sex & gender have been used throught the year, but there are distinct modern differences.

Sex defines a person as male or female. Gender however, is often understood to refer to gender identity, which means your internal sense of identifying yourself as female, male, or other, regardless of biological status.

A person can challenge their assigned gender due to feelings on non-conformity with the gender that they were assigned at birth. This can result in the following emotions:

Anger: A person can get angry towards society and everyone else in their life for such bias

Loneliness: The affected person can isolate themselves from social circles and act rebellious in college or school.

Depression: Surrounding yourself with too much negativity can also lead you to depression.

The best way to deal with this is to accept and understand what is causing this instead of blaming yourself or anyone else. Self confidence can help, also talking to a mental health professional can help in dealing with any other issues that might cause you to not function normally.
