Speaking at different occasions, the political leaders have vowed to embrace Building Bridges Initiative and in unison turn down Punguza Mizigo initiative adding they need more positions created at top levels and not the vice versa.
Speaking at Kithyoko town, Kivaa ward of Masinga sub-county in Machakos County during an official dedication of Perry Jayne Girls Centre, Mwingi North MP Paul Nzengu said the burden is corruption adding there is no burden in the parliament and are happy to have 290 constituencies for efficient service delivery.
Mwingi Central Member of National Assembly, Gideon Mulyungi said they want to increase top positions to house every community and not reduce them insisting the initiative will not see the light of the day.
Yatta MP, Charles Kilonzo said Punguza Mizigo is a funded initiative by a disgusted Jubilee wing and are aware of games inside Jubilee and their intentions
Kitui women Representative, Irene Kasalu urged BBI committee members to swiftly compile reports of Kenyans views on constitutional amendment and bring it to assembly floor to be passed adding they back BBI, not Punguza Mizigo.
Kitui Senator, Enoch Kiio Wambua said the initiative is unpopular stating there was no public participation conducted to enlighten members of the public.
