मध्य प्रदेश में नर्मदा घाटी के डूब क्षेत्र में आने वाले कई गांव भारी बारिश के बाद जलमग्न हो गए हैं. ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि पहले ही डूब क्षेत्र में आने वाले गांवों के लोगों का पुनर्वास नहीं हुआ है और अब बांध में पानी का स्तर बढ़ने के चलते डूब क्षेत्र में बसे सैंकड़ों अन्य गांवों का भविष्य खतरे में है. नई दिल्ली के जंतर मंतर पर सरदार सरोवर बांध का जलस्तर घटाने की मांग को लेकर प्रदर्शन करने आए मध्य प्रदेश के ग्रामीणों और नर्मदा बचाओ आंदोलन के कार्यकर्ताओं से संतोषी मरकाम की बातचीत.
