Worried your whisky’s fake? There’s an artificial tongue for that | The World Researchers say this device, packed with microscopic metal tastebuds, can distinguish between real and counterfeit Scotch whisky with more than 99 per cent accuracy.

Its creators hope the technology will not only safeguard the prized local industry from fakes, but also help protect against poisons and contaminants in water and food.
