After a 37 year wait, to say that I am impressed would be the biggest understatement of the year. I said yesterday that questions might be answered, but I sit here with more. Why this title? Why now? I don’t want to get political but sometimes you have no choice, and sometimes there is culture even bigger than politics…much, much bigger. Again, I ask, why this message why now? Wanting to jail people before they are proven innocent, cutting off borders to those who believe differently, jailing families and children because they are different, and now the killing of families and children because they are different. I think we all know all to well why this title, story and message now. Listen to the magically written words of the last five minutes of episode 1 and remember our society is built on imperialism, many still believe in those ancient imperialistic ways you hear them mention it day after day, they are evil and they want to rule or do away with us. I hear messages in the show, minorities of any kind are analogous with the Gelflings and the crystal is analogous with the land, what do you think they’re talking about?…guess what that makes the Skeksis? People all over the planet want to and DO rule over other people today, united is the only way we can conquer in…the age of resistance.
