An unnamed Arsenal chief reportedly made a damaging remark about Unai Emery after the club’s 2-2 Premier League draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday. The result has seen pressure mount on Emery, with the Spaniard facing calls for the sack. And The Sun claim an Arsenal chief said ‘we were better under Wenger’ after the match. The Gunners supremo was reportedly aware that the north London titans had a better win percentage under Wenger during the Frenchman’s final 48 games in charge. Arsenal under Wenger managed a win rate of 57 per cent from their final 48 Premier League matches under his management. They also averaged 1.9 goals a game, conceding at a rate of 0.9 per cent. But, under Emery, things have regressed. Arsenal have won 52 per cent of their matches under the Spaniard, scoring 1.8 goals per game.
