Did you know that giant anteaters have no teeth?! They have a long particular tongue that allows them to eat ants and termites!! In captivity we offer them a specially formulated insectivorous zoo diet which has all the nutrients they would get from eating ants and termites. We add apple cider vinegar to balance their stomach from developing yeast, and an occasional raw egg with honey for flavor!💚
