Improvement is a good thing, right?
I mean of course it is. But it also raises some difficulties I wasn't expecting, and I want to talk about that.

Art is not sitting down at a paper or a canvas or what-have-you and busting out that one drawing right then and there.
Art is all of the days, hours, all of the little moments of practice you have put in for your entire life, that lead up to that drawing, and the next drawings.

Even if something looks bad to you today, it still helped to support the foundation that you're always building up.
