This 3,500-square-foot luxury private villa, with high wood ceilings and curved archways, provides stunning Pacific Ocean and virgin rain forest views. It has two master suites, a third double bedroom, a large windowed office, plus living and dining areas.
The double wooden front doors are carved, the ocean-facing terrace has inlaid ceramic art, and the upstairs landing has an art wall with sunken lights! The kitchen has an over-sized Italian marble cooking island with a sit-up bar for four people. The kitchen has the best stainless-steel appliances, a waist-level self-cleaning oven, a warmer oven, a glass stovetop, and a double-door refrigerator and freezer.
The bedroom separation gives the second-floor master bedroom access to an enormous upper-level private veranda. Its oversize ensuite bathroom has a bathtub and designer ceramics, and the extra-large shower is beautifully designed. Also, leading off the master bedroom is an enormous walk-in closet with wooden shelves and drawers, which can also be used as a secure storage and dehumidifier dry room. A steel-barred door is behind its wooden door for added security.
The second very large master bedroom on the ground floor’s east wing also has an ensuite bathroom with a shower. It has the same high ceilings and breathtaking view of the rain forest and ocean.
The garden-level bedroom, also on the ground floor, is 30 feet from the second master bedroom and has a private four-foot-wide walkway to its almost ensuite bathroom, which also has a shower. The bedroom has large windows to view the back gardens and forest. The gardens have beautiful flowers, exotic plants, and mature fruits including bananas, papayas, pineapples, coconuts, and lemons. Behind the fruit trees lies the rainforest-covered mountains.
The Tucan Tango villa’s “wow feature” is a stunning, long, curved, infinity-edge pool that stretches along the front of the terrace. It is surrounded by corolina, which is a natural porous stone that never heats up in the sun or becomes slippery when wet. Submerged in the pool is a seat for four people. There is also a four-inch ledge that traverses the deep-end infinity wall, allowing guests to stand in the deep end as they admire the vista or the formations of parrots that noisily fly past. Fiber-optic “firefly fountains” that spurt controlled “fingers” of water over the pool are also installed. At night they look like fingers of colored light. A sail with fully retractable posts is also built-in so that the water temperature remains under 32 degrees in the hot season, ensuring year-round comfort. There are resident toucans, parrots, oropendolas, and monkeys every day, and scarlet macaws fly past regularly. Sunsets are simply spectacular.
Buildings include a workshop that is large enough to also hold a Yamaha Rhino or ATV. There is also a carport (with electricity) large enough for a car, two Rhinos or ATVs, and a pool pump room.
There is also a two-bedroom guest house on the plot above Tucan Tango that can house a groundskeeper or housekeeper. It also has many banana plants and a vegetable garden.
If you enjoy good architecture, good design, wildlife, and nature and enjoy a house that you can entertain in that is inviting and cooled by the winds, you should consider Tucan Tango as your new home.
For complete privacy in the future, the lot to the east of the house, “Juicy Mango” is also available.
