This Giving Tuesday, we are excited to launch a contest we’re calling “Friends of the Forest.” With this interactive fundraiser, we want to use the power of social media and personal relationships to call attention to some of the UP’s most beloved wildlife, while encouraging support and participation from the folks who love them.
We're calling it a friendly contest because we want to hear your reason for protecting wildlife and their habitat in the UP. We'd like to bet that most folks have a favorite "Team" that they're on in the UP, and we want to know who's the winner!
We’ve designed 5 teams - donate within the team page to vote for your favorite! The winning team will inspire a special themed event in the new year - so you can also vote based on what subject you'd like to learn more about at a UPLC event. You can also choose to fund any team or donate to the overall ecosystem as all donations will go directly to protecting land and habitat for all though the UP Land Conservancy!

Each year, UP Land Conservancy participates in Giving Tuesday - a shared national moment which follows the holiday shopping season busiest days. It is a global day to celebrate generosity and spending with purpose. Giving Tuesday was born out of a simple idea: it feels good to celebrate a day that’s not about discounts and sales, but about doing good.
