Alexander Cruz, owner of the Christmas house, first started opening the doors of his elaborately decorated home around 20 years ago.
"Now that we're being blessed more than what the family is expecting or what the family is praying, they (his parents, owners of Christmas house) wanted to give it back to the community to feel the spirit of Christmas by letting them experience it here in our house," said Alexander's son, Xavier Cruz.
The attraction in suburban Cainta, Rizal province, has become a staple in the community and has its fair share of regular visitors each year.
"It makes me really happy because these lights bring life and spirit, especially when you're sad and you come here. It makes the spirit of Christmas really joyful," says Joymari Carigma, a yearly visitor to the Christmas house.
