Jaipur: Leopard straying in residential areas, rescued after 20-hour operation After a leopard from the Jhalana forest reserve was spotted straying into several residential areas of Jaipur in the past few days, the wild cat was finally tranquillised after a 20-hour search operation in the Lal Kothi area on December 13. However, two employees of the forest department were injured in the rescue operation. Once captured, the leopard was taken to Nahargarh rescue centre and would be released into the forest after a medical examination. CCTV footage of the leopard prowling through residential areas of Jaipur had gone viral prior to the successful rescue operation.
