On Prime Time, Ravish Kumar asks whether the Citizenship Bill will define migrants as legal or illegal on the basis of their religion. While presenting the Bill in Rajya Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah referred to people from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan living illegally in India as illegal 'migrants' instead of 'infiltrators' - a term he has been heard referring to migrants from Bangladesh during political rallies. Meanwhile, violent protests were witnessed across Assam by people opposed to the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.
