What are Computer Systems?

The computer systems are programmable devices which can process data into meaningful information by CPU(Central Processing Unit) with ALU(Arithmetic Logic Unit) .Its is used for perform numerical & logical calculation by using devices of computer systems.Its is an electronic devices which is used to process & store the data.

Types of Computer Systems

There are mainly four types of computer systems given below:-

1-Micro Computers

The Micro computers are small scale computers which is used by one user at a time also called personal computer (PC) based on single chip known as microprocessor include laptop & desktop with include some calculators,mobile phones ,notebook,workstations.

2-Mini Computers

It is also known as small computers into the world mid1960 which between them mainframe & microcomputer because of mid range and mainly multi user system that means more than one user work at a time. It can range from 12 inches in width to less than 7 due to especially attractive to students because they can use it anywhere they want.

For Example- IBM AS/400e, Honeywell200, TI-990



3-Mainframe Computers

It is an ultra high-performance computer for high-volume, processor-intensive computing which are typically used by large businesses and for scientific purposes & below supercomputers, the most powerful computers in the world can usually execute many programs simultaneously at a high speed or a single process and the largest manufacturers of mainframes are IBM and Unisys.

4-Super Computers

It is used for scientific and engineering work with high-speed computations include testing mathematical models for complex physical phenomena or designs, such as climate and weather, evolution of the cosmos, nuclear weapons and reactors, new chemical compounds.It is extremely powerful computers with businesses use supercomputers for market research.

Commponents of Computer Sytem

Generally we use laptop for personal use and desktop for official and bank purpose use.So the genral components of computer system are given below:-
