anyway
in this au (Knowing Me, Knowing You)

the tallest are married, and have adopted several children (the invaders) for land purposes. when they grow up and move out, they'll have access to the land through family connection.
out of the several siblings, the second youngest is zim (his twin sister tenn only slightly older than him), with the youngest being gir.
the family isn't the nicest towards gir because he doesnt really "work right". zim knows what this is like, since the family sees him in a similar way, and he has a skin condition that makes his skin seem slightly green (so he wears a heck ton of concealer every day) that people make fun of him for.
zim and gir usually spend most of their time together, except for when zim is at school. zim is 15 in high school and gir is 10, but gir doesn't even go to school. he's always anxious about leaving gir.
when zim is at skool, people often make fun of him-- mainly dib. though there are people who are nice to him; like seven and floog (who likes zim).
at night and sometimes during the day, zim will sing for/with gir either Over the Garden Wall, ABBA, or the Phineas and Ferb soundtrack.
