Changing Your Last Name After Marriage - NOT AN OBLIGATION

Changing Your Last Name After Marriage - NOT AN OBLIGATION Filipinas are NOT REQUIRED to change their last names after marriage.
It is an OPTION, not a DUTY.

Article 370 of the Civil Code provides that “A married woman may use:
(1) Her maiden first name and surname and add her husband’s surname, or
(2) Her maiden first name and her husband’s surname, or
(3) Her husband’s full name, but prefixing a word indicating that she is his wife, such as “Mrs.”” (emphasis supplied)"

OPINYON ko lang to. Hindi ako lawyer/PolSci student/pulis/nazi. I believe that women should have the freedom to choose which surname they would like to use after marriage, without being judged.
Nakalimutan ko maglagay ng headroom -.-
