Did ANY Big Illinois bucks survive? Trail cams, New road update, property tour & more Join me for the first mission of the New year on Jan 1st, 2020 as I pull all of the trail cam cards on our 150 acre Southern Illinois property to see if ANY nice bucks are still alive, should I target the ONE remaining 4 year old buck, did any of the 3 year old bucks survive, 2 that I passed on this year, and a look at the new road that we recently built to see how it is holding up after a lot of rain and an inventory of young bucks that have survived the onslaught of shotgun deer season in Illinois! Land management, particularly trying to grow and hold mature bucks, i.e. 4 years old or more, is a never ending challenge, and in so many cases you are unfortunately tied to what your neighbors are doing, or NOT doing in most cases. Lets see if any decent bucks have survived this deer season, and check out the ONE remaining 4 year old buck (that I am aware of) and see if I should chase him yet or just let things go until next season. Thanks for joining me, don't forget to hit the Like button and subscribe to follow all of our land management projects on our Illinois and Kentucky farms, our Branson tractor projects, Bobcat excavator projects, food plots, habitat improvement, duck ponds, watering holes, road building, our Kentucky farmhouse rehab project, rustic barnwood projects, DIY rustic home decor projects, and much more country living adventures. Thank you! Kapper Outdoors, living the dream, one acre at a time.
