South Dorset's Conservative MP Richard Drax has sent a firm warning to the House of Lords: "Do not start playing games now. We have had enough, and the people of this country have had enough. The other place must pass this Bill, and allow us to get on with leaving the EU on 31 January." Richard Drax celebrated an easy victory as he held on to his South Dorset seat by winning with 30,024 votes - a gain of 889 since the 2017 result. Meanwhile, Labour candidate Carrolyn Parkes took 12,871 votes - down 4,569 since Labour candidate Tashi Warr stood in 2017.
In the House of Commons, Richard Drax emphasized the opportunities which will come, once the United Kingdom has left the European Union.
