Slowing down is vital when targeting bass in a funk. Lowen accomplishes this by reducing jig head weight and pairing the jig with plastics that displace a bunch of water. Doing so allows you to ‘float’ or ‘hover’ the jig in the strike zone much longer. Lastly, Lowen stresses the importance of making rapid cast-backs if you miss a bite or observe active bass in an area.
