Hundreds of Thousands of Red-winged Blackbirds and Short Murmurations

I've been around for a lot of years, and this is the largest flock of birds that I've ever seen in my life. If I had to guess how many birds there were, I would guess that there were somewhere between a quarter of a million, and a half million birds. They covered such a wide area that it was impossible to get them all on the screen at the same time.
If you've ever seen a large flock of blackbirds like this, I would like to hear about it. And feel free to venture a guess on the number of birds in this flock.
