NCSL has invited two school heads in this live streaming to present before us an example of
a professional peer learning group dealing with day to day challenges of schools. They
represent a group of school heads who have been felicitated by district administration as
progressive school leaders of district Begusarai, Bihar. Forming a professional learning
community, these school heads share, brainstorm, problem solve and support each other for
transforming each others’ schools collaboratively. As a result of peer leadership, the school
heads have dealt with challenges, improved retention and led holistic development of
children. They also emphasize on creating a child-friendly, fear free environment among
other aspects for whole school development.
