Martin Luther King Jr. once visited Raleigh in 1966, with King speaking in Reynolds Coliseum. News outlets barely covered the event because the KKK staged a protest against him in downtown Raleigh on Fayetteville Street. Now, Jason Miller, professor of English and scholar-in-residence at NC State's African American Cultural Center, created a presentation alongside an exhibit of never-before-seen photos taken at that time of the protest and Dr. King.
