Sometimes, we take things the wrong way when no harm is intended and this is because we make something mean something. Our egos and self-concept is depended on how you are perceived in the social pack. Your reputation is at stake every time you interact with other people and this is why you feel feel timid or slightly fearful when talking to people in general. Most of the time people are not even responding to you per se. They are simply just doing what they do in that moment of time. People are USUALLY not responding to you, but, reacting to you. When it comes to social situations thinking is not very useful. Imagine if you were to see a tiger pop out of no where. Would you think to yourself - OMG! What big fangs the tiger has. I wonder how he grew them to be so big. Nope! You would be gone before you know it.And this is why SPEED is more important than accuracy. When in doubt just assume people are just reacting to you in the moment and avoid making it mean something, because, chances are it was not. However, do take some situations to mean something if it is continuous; it happens multiple times.
