You Only Get One Shot At A Debut Album - Don't F**k It Up!

You Only Get One Shot At A Debut Album - Don't F**k It Up! Actually the really important point here, is what to do with the content you have.

We get a lot of bands getting in touch with us because they've just finished recording their first album and are understandably eager to get it out.

But PR's can only do so much for bands that are up and coming and don't have anything going on around the album to support its release. And it's not stuff that we can just make up.

Bands need to have live dates, tours and some kind of release structure and marketing plan in place for the singles to build anticipation and demand for the bands music.

So what should you do if you don't have these things or aren't convinced your album is actually good enough to be put out as your debut.

Well quite a lot.

Cut that album in half and you have two EP's.

Break it up into individual tracks and you have 5 - 6 - 8 decent singles you can release periodically over a year. And build more content around that.
