Probate Court Judge Abuses Power. Uses Coercion to Deny Autistic Man Disability Rights

Probate Court Judge Abuses Power. Uses Coercion to Deny Autistic Man Disability Rights Lee County, Georgia Probate Court Judge Melanie Gehring threatened my wife against filing for disability for her autistic son AFTER appointing her guardianship. Judge Gehring said that too many people are "on the dole" and that she would consider filing for disability an "aggressive action".

Her failure to understand, or even attempt to understand, autism spectrum disorder endangers my wife's son's future.

Furthermore, the guardian ad litem felt "uncomfortable" reaching out to my wife's son, therefore, he only spoke to him once, moments before the preliminary hearing, and once before the final hearing. He never contacted the son's physician, teachers, or family members and failed to request an independent psychological evaluation.

Guardianship is meaningless if ignorance and prejudice prevent my wife's planning for her son's future.
