Union flag removed in Brussels as Brexit draws to a close

Union flag removed in Brussels as Brexit draws to a close The Union Flag has been taken down in Brussels as Britain is set to break official ties with the EU bloc at 11PM GMT after nearly five decades.

In a final cabinet meeting before leaving, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he hoped the moment of Brexit would "heal the divisions of the last three-and-a-half years".

Mr Johnson returned to Downing Street where he will enjoy a British themed party and light show.
