Chandrayaan-2 now preparing to leave earth’s gravity

India’s second lunar mission, Chandrayaan-2, completed all its earth-bound manoeuvres on August 6. It will start to move towards the moon on August 14. The lander is expected to touch down near the southern pole of the moon on September 7.
