Portable ultrasound could see doctors throw away their stethoscopes | ABC News The humble stethoscope could soon be a relic of the past.

A new portable ultrasound device that plugs into a mobile phone has arrived at Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Doctors say it's more accurate, and could change how check-ups are done from big city hospitals to remote communities.
