The first 409 meters of the Nike Cross Nationals boys race starts faster than the first 409 meters of the fastest H.S. boys full-mile from 2018. The LEADERS in the 5K NXN race did 409 meters in 60.4 seconds...in the MUD! I'm a certified surveyor, and I measured the start before the race.
